Paleogene
Paleogene
The word refers to a geological period of the Cenozoic era, the one in which we still live today. It also comes from Greek and refers to "the old birth". This series but reflects my ultimate photographic goal: to be a little out of this world. It is endless work. My photos represent the soil, air, wildlife, water and the increasing Anthropocene period. They try to achieve an idea of infinity, but this idea is doomed to failure. Our finitude will always prevail, we are magnetized to the ground, finally underground. Here are photographic attempts to come to terms with our finitude.
This is analog photography taken with Canon A1 and Pentax K1000 cameras. 3 types of films were used - Retropan 320, Tmax 3200, Agfa 400.Negatives scans.
